Syracuse China is famous world wide.. It pretty tough and if you flip over your dish in an old diner there a pretty good chance the that it was made in Syracuse..

Now I guess you are more likely to see a made in china label, but the good stuff comes from Syracuse.. When I lived there they used to have tent sales in front of the factory. Most of the stuff was over stock and the like, much of which had labels on their sides from one out of business diner or another..

These don't have a label on them but I once saw a set of them in one of the local diners in Syracuse.. I think Bekah has a set of four of these too..
